Pietro Piccinetti

Pietro Piccinetti was born in Rome. He moved to Venezuela when he was very young, where he finished his Engineering studies and started his professional career at Olivetti Group, holding different roles in South America and the United States. Called back to Italy at the General Marketing Direction Department in Olivetti Group, since then he has always lived and worked in Milan. Always within the Olivetti Group he held various roles, including the Management and the Direction of some Companies in France (Paris) and in Great Britain (London).

In 1994 he started his collaboration in the Private Equity, first of all in Switzerland and then in Italy, cooperating with several Funds, on whose behalf he managed some Industrial Companies in the Northeastern Italy as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman.

Thanks to his long-term experience at Olivetti Group and inside International Markets, he has achieved a great know-how on what may concern the “Made in Italy” and Internationalization activities.
At Olivetti Group he started dealing in Exhibition Trade Fairs and since 2000, this became his core-business along with the Management of Companies initially at Fiera Milano Group as Member of the Board of Directors.

Since 2013 he is CEO at Pordenone Fiere Spa: a reality that in a few years has been transformed from a small suburb to a flourishing fairground with 6 international events.

Since April 2016 he has been called to cover the role of CEO and Managing Director at Fiera Roma S.r.l., with the objective to relaunch the Roman Fairground .

Since 2013 he is Coordinator for the Internationalization Commission at “AEFI” (Association of Exhibitions and Italian Fairs).

Recently He has also been named President of CEFA (Central European Fair Alliance), a very important organization that has more than 30 European exhibition centers located in Germany, Austria, Greece, Albania and all the countries of Eastern Europe.

Furthermore he has become Member of the Board at AEFI and Executive Advisor at FEDERCONGRESSI & EVENTS (the Italian Association for the MICE Industry).

He carried out many Professional Specialization Courses both in Italy and abroad and in 2000 he has been honored with Honoris Causa Degree in Industrial Engineering .

He also has held various positions in several Boards of Directors both in Italy and abroad.

He is the father of three children, speaks English, Spanish and French.
